Topics courses appear slightly differently in Course Search & Enroll and this can lead to confusion when students are searching and enrolling for courses. Every topics course will have 1 row per scheduled section plus 1 additional row for the “umbrella” course catalog number. For example, in Summer 2025, Art 448 has 3 sections scheduled with different topics, but 4 rows appear in CS&E:
Students can select and directly enroll in any of the first 3 rows/sections, or select the last row and click “See Sections” to view all 3 sections and their meeting pattern information. Students may then select and enroll in their preferred section.
