Getting Access and Training
Security requests must be made for all new staff who require access to SIS. New requests are required for anyone who transfers to a new department even if access was granted in their previous department.
For more information on which roles to request, refer to the SIS Roles Catalog.
Faculty/Staff Access
- Faculty and staff should submit a request in SIS using the SIS Security Request tile.
- For step-by-step instructions, visit our KnowledgeBase (KB).
- Faculty and staff will receive training information from sis-security-requests@g-groups.wisc.edu once the applicable department’s authorizer has approved the request.
Note: Faculty and staff should not use the web-based form to submit a request; doing so will lead to delays.
Student Employee (including Graduate Assistant) Access
- Managers must request access for their student employees using the web-based form.
- Students will get training details once the approver receives the necessary information and approves the request.
