Per UW-Madison Faculty Policy (see II-105 Summary Period for Academic Semester), course grades “must be completed by each instructor and submitted to the Office of the Registrar within six calendar days (144 hours) from the date and hour of the two-hour block scheduled during the summary period.” To determine the grade deadline associated with your assigned exam time, refer to the appropriate Final Exam grid on the Midterm and Final Exam page.
Until grades are completed by instructors and marked as “Submit to Registrar”, they will not be posted by the Office of the Registrar. Posting is required before grade reports are made available to students using their Student Center in MyUW. Grade access will be removed from instructors six calendar days (144 hours) from the last final exam block in a given term, or, when that date falls on a holiday, at the end of the next subsequent business day.
Midterm grades for first-year students are prepared at the end of the fifth week of classes. Midterm grades are made available to students on Monday of the eighth week in their Student Center in MyUW. An email is sent out to all students with fifth-week grades informing them of their availability in the Student Center.
