Limited Staff in the Office of the Registrar

As you are aware, how campus is handling COVID-19 is a continuous and fluid situation. During this time, we are striving to support you in the best way possible. The health and safety of our campus community is our top priority, and we share your concerns about the current and potential impact of COVID-19. I assure you that university leadership is monitoring the situation closely and is actively planning for any other necessary changes to campus operations.

There have already been many changes to campus as a result of our proactive approach to student, faculty, and staff safety concerning COVID-19. During this time, academic policies are also being considered. We are working with campus partners to prepare for academic accommodations, alternate working and learning environments, and much more.

While the University remains open, the Office of the Registrar (RO) team members are continuing to be available to students, staff, faculty, and alumni.  In order to provide for the safety of our team members, staff will begin working remotely as of 8am, Monday, March 16th.  RO staff will no longer be available for any in-person visitors but will be able to answer phones, actively monitor emails and provide most services virtually. The UW community is encouraged to continue communicating by email and to send any attachments, forms, etc., to registrar@em.wisc.edu.

As you know, this is a constantly evolving situation. We’ll continue to adapt our plans accordingly, keeping the health and safety of our campus community at the center of our decisions, and update campus accordingly.
