As part of the Office of the Registrar, Student Veteran Services (SVS) assists eligible student Veterans, Active Servicepersons, Dependents, Reservists, and National Guard Members with state and federal education benefit programs. On August 1, 2009, The Post 9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33) will go into effect. For more information on this benefit, please visit The United States Department of Veteran Affairs website. Click on Education Benefits, then GI Bill Information.
In the 2009-2011 Wisconsin State Budget, Governor Doyle has proposed changes to the Wisconsin GI Bill. We encourage student veterans to monitor the UW System information about the Wisconsin GI Bill at the following web links:
