+Student’s Guide to Requesting DARS Web Reports

Step

Action

1.

Click on the ‘View my DARS’ link in the Academics section of the Student Center.

2.

To request a DARS report for a ‘plan’ (degree program, major, certificate, etc) that you have already declared, use the “RUN a BASIC audit’ section of the request screen.

3.

Click on the radio button in front of the plan you want, and press the Select Plan button on the right.


BASIC AUDIT   This is an audit run on a plan you have already declared.

1. Pick a radio button and press select plan.  2. Select optional choices if desired.  3. Submit audit.  4. View audits.

You can ask  DARS to include or omit honors requirements and/or control whether  current and future courses are included in the analysis by making selections from the drop down boxes.  Honors options will vary by school/college offering the program.

 

4.

Press the Submit Audit button.

If these are not the choices you want, please select another radio

button and press 'Select plan' again before submitting the audit.         

 


 

5.

Press the View audits button to see either a 1 or 2 column version of the report.

To view a 1-colum report, click on the view icon  next to the report you wish to see.  To view a 2 column

 report, click in the checkbox column on the left next  to the report(s) you wish to see or print, and then press

 the ‘View/Print via Acrobat’ button.   To email a 1-column report to yourself, click in the checkbox column

 next to the report(s) you wish to email to yourself, and then press the ‘Email to myself’ button.

To request a “What-if’ DARS report, press the ‘Run a What-If audit’

 button.

This is an audit run on a plan you have already declared.

This is an audit run on a plan you have not declared, but want to explore.

 

Choose a plan by pressing the ‘Select plan/program’ button

WHAT-IF AUDIT   This is an audit run on a plan you have not declared, but want to explore.

1. Press select plan/program to select plan.  2. Select optional choices if desired.  3. Submit what-if audit.  4. View audits.

 

What-if Academic Plan/Program:   

 

 

 

 

 

 

Choose a plan from the list of all available programs or narrow the list

to a school or college from the drop down list.

 

Select a plan from the drop down list and then press the

‘Proceed with Selected Plan’ button.

Find All Programs by pressing       then scrolling through list below.

 

OR

 

Choose from list of schools/colleges:      

 

Then press      for a distinct list by school/college.

 

 

 

 

 

Academic Plan/Program Choices:

 

To quickly advance through the list, highlight the first program, then type the first character of the program you wish to find.

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you don't see the Academic Plan/Program you desire, please contact the student services area of the Dean's office for that plan or program.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Your choice will be displayed in the ‘What you selected’ section.

 To run the audit, press the ‘Submit ‘What-If’ Audit button.

 

To view or print a ‘what-if’ audit, follow the instructions in step 5.

7.

When done, click [Logoff] and close your browser window.
