As a Wisconsin veteran, there are many benefits available to you from the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) that provide you with assistance in your academic pursuits. To obtain education benefits from WDVA, veterans must meet military service requirements and state residency requirements set by the State Legislature.
For additional information concerning state veteran benefits, contact the Dane County Veterans Services Office at 608/266-4158. For your convenience, a County Veterans's representative is available most Thursdays at Vets for Vets, located at 333 East Campus Mall, 3rd Floor, Suite 3136 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Some the State Benefits include:
- WDVA Economic Assistance Loans
- WI GI Bill (NOTICE: The Wisconsin GI Bill does not cover all educational costs. Check with your Veterans' Certifying Official to determine which tuition/fees are not covered.)
- Veterans Educational Program (VetED)
